The thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the Catholic medical association of Croatia (HKLD) is an extraordinary event: on February 16, 1991, when the communist dictatorship ended, Catholic doctors could resume their public testimony and meet. The entire FEAMC is close to the Croatian Catholic doctors and to President Rok Civljak in this event: we are close to you with prayer, we share the testimony of the Gospel with you, we serve the sick with you in the land of Europe, we break the bread of communion with the Holy Father Pope Francis. The recent Encyclical “Brothers All” traces the path of witness for us in these times of uncertainty and transition: we all need a greater faith to live the Gospel with courage today, in civil life, in the Church, alongside the sick. . I wish Croatian Catholic doctors a long way, the good way of the Gospel, always, everywhere, with anyone! I hope, we all hope, to be able to meet again soon, also to celebrate the beauty of the history and future of your Association!

Dear Prof. Vincenzo Defilippis, dear members of the FEAMC,
Thank you for your congratulations and moving expression of fellowship and solidarity with the Croatian Catholic Medical Society (CCMS) on our thirtieth anniversary.
The CCMS has a special bond with the FEAMC, as we were blessed to share the same Ecclesiastical Assistant, our founder Msgr. Valentin Pozaić, Auxiliary Bishop of Zagreb, who guided us in our mission to bear witness to Jesus Christ and safeguard the sanctity and inviolability of human life from conception to natural death.
“The Spirit drove Jesus out into the desert, and he remained in the desert for forty days” (Mk 1:12). 
Like Jesus, let us be driven by the Holy Spirit in our noble common mission.
